“Intellectually we all know that we will die, but we do not really know it in the sense that the knowledge becomes a part of us. We do not really know it in the sense of living as though it were true. On the contrary, we tend to live as though our lives would go on forever.”
This life is teeny tiny compared to eternity. Weather you live 5 years, 20 years or 80 years on earth; all those years can compare to one another but cannot compare to what eternity is. Money, the car you drive, fame and everything else will fade away. We often think as though we are invincible. Do not fool yourself by believing you can experiment in life now and then go to God later. It’s deceiving to say, ” I have enough time to get my life right with God.” You never know when your last breath will be. I don’t say it to scare you, I say it because it’s true. It’s crucial that you face whatever may be holding you back. Know this: God loves you and will meet you wherever you’re at. You are his child. Jesus is not waiting to condemn you either. He loves you and simply wants to help you through this life. It’s really just up to you.
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” -John 3:17
“People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field, the grass withers and the flowers fades. But the word of Lord remains forever.” – 1 Peter 24-25
